Are you planning a new production facility and the neighbouring residents are concerned about the future air quality?

Your site is located in the immediate vicinity of industrial plants or highly frequented transport infrastructure and you would like to know whether the air is affected by these commercial processes?

Would you like to monitor particulate matter measurements during upcoming construction work?

We monitor the air pollution of construction projects, in the vicinity of commercial and industrial sites, areas with high traffic volumes and during the remediation of landfill sites. With our immission measurements, we record odour episodes or measure particles and volatile substances in long-term studies.

We record particulate matter (PM10, PM 2.5), a variety of odorous substances, acids, ammonia, volatile organic compounds (VOC), heavy metals, pesticides, etc. Depending on the issue at hand, we determine monthly, weekly or hourly averages. We are familiar with all sampling and analysis methods commonly used in the field of air analysis and work closely with specialised laboratories. We also support you in the assessment of the measurement results and in the development of measures to reduce pollutant emissions into the outside air.

While the monitoring of air pollution with the pollutants listed in the Ordinance on Air Pollution Control (LRV) is usually covered by the cantonal authorities, our core competence lies in the time-limited recording of special air pollutants. We develop specific measurement concepts and plan measurement campaigns based on the issue at hand (before/after measurements, recording of time-limited episodes, identification of sources and polluters, success monitoring following measures, etc.) and the objective. Our understanding of the transport processes and the behaviour of pollutants in outdoor air, developed through many years of experience, is an important basis for the definition and planning of such measurement campaigns.

We use various analysis and sampling techniques to carry out measurement campaigns for immission measurements. Where necessary, we also develop new measurement and sampling methods, which we test and validate together with our laboratory partners.

The results of the measurements are analysed and assessed by us with regard to the question and the objective of the measurement campaign. We also develop measures to reduce pollutant emissions into the outside air. If further evaluations such as dispersion calculations or toxicological assessments are required, we commission specialised experts from partner companies and institutes.
